Traveling sometimes feels like a daunting endeavor for families and individuals. Whether your trip is long or short, it can be exhausting to plan. Should you drive or fly? How many days will you be gone? Do you have a checklist with everything you need to bring for the person you are caring for? More importantly, do the destinations you are considering staying at even accommodate those special needs of those loved ones traveling with you who have mobility issues?

In a two part series, we’re excited to share this list of family-accessible resorts around the United States. Thanks to Robin Denman, writer from Special Needs Parenting, for sharing her insights into some of these destinations.
