Healthy fats to the rescue! In the United States, that may sound like an oxymoron, as many people view fats as a negative piece to one's daily diet. There is such a thing as healthy fats, though, and they keep your stomach full, your cells thriving, and reduce inflammation in the body. Today's recipe contains a lot of healthy fats! Whether you're looking at incorporating more fats into your diet or you simply want a healthy meal to make for dinner, this is a fantastic option.

See below for instructions on how to make this dish.

  • 2-3 Tbsp of arrowroot powder

  • ¼ cup of coconut sugar (or xylitol- for no sugar)

  • ¼ tsp of ground ginger or a thumb size of fresh ginger, chopped

  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced, or 1 Tbsp of garlic powder

  • ½ cup of Liquid Aminos (Braggs brand)

  • ¼ Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs brand)

  • ½ cup of water

  • 1 ½ cup of vegetable, chicken stock, or bone broth (low sodium is best!)

  • A handful of fresh chopped basil

  • 4 chicken breasts, sliced (you can also use beef)
  • 2-3 Tbsp of coconut oil for cooking and frying (this is a healthier alternative to olive oil)

  • A package of green beans

  • 1 head of broccoli

  • 2-3 bell peppers

  • A package of mushrooms

  • 1 onion

  • Optional: fresh cilantro, red pepper flakes (for some kick)

  1. Combine all measured ingredients in a sealed container and shake well.
  2. Stir fry your chicken breasts in a pan with coconut oil and add all vegetables in once the chicken is cooked.
  3. Add however much sauce you want.
  4. Let the ingredients boil with the sauce for about one minute or until thickness has been achieved. To thicken even more, add more arrowroot powder.
  5. Garnish the meal with fresh cilantro if you want. You can also serve the dish with quinoa or brown rice.
  6. Enjoy!
